Occupational Therapist
I chose to become an Occupational Therapist because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful life. It’s a privilege to work so closely with people and support positive change.
Understanding a person’s physical and mental health, environment,
intersectionality, values, interests, and skills informs my holistic approach.
Living with an invisible illness has taught me to rebuild my identity and strengthened my belief in the power of meaningful activities. It also highlighted gaps in healthcare, motivating me to work toward more accessible, person-centred care.
I completed my Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy at Manipal College of Health Professions and have experience in Public Mental Health. Having lived in both India and Australia, I developed an appreciation for how culture, accessibility, and resources influence participation.
I have a strong interest in sensory modulation and have training in ACT and Motivational Interviewing.
Outside of work, I enjoy dancing, table tennis, spending time in nature, and, of course, horizontal time in bed.
