Meet Medhavi

Medhavi has spent almost twenty years sitting alongside people; from toddlers taking their first steps to adults relearning how to trust their bodies.

Her work lives in that quiet space where body and mind meet: the place where awareness becomes movement, and movement, in turn, becomes a way of coming home to oneself.

Her path here wasn't a straight line, and that windy road shapes how she works today.

She trained first as a Physiotherapist, earning her degree overseas and leading inpatient and outpatient teams as a senior clinician before relocating to Melbourne. That grounding gave her a deep, structural understanding of the body: how tissue heals, how systems hold each other up, what recovery looks like on paper.
Years spent working closely with people carrying chronic pain taught her something no textbook could: pain that lingers long after the tissue has healed isn't asking to be fixed. It's asking to be listened to.

This curiosity led her into Feldenkrais. Where physiotherapy gave her a map of the body, Feldenkrais gave her a way to attune to the nervous system.

This is where Medhavi's work becomes something distinctly her own. She isn't a physiotherapist who dabbles in Feldenkrais, nor a somatic practitioner with clinical training. She holds both at once to understand what's happening both in the body and the nervous system to combat guarding and protection. Nothing is waved away as "just in your head," and nothing is reduced to mechanics alone.
In session, held through Functional Integration, Medhavi works slowly and attentively tracing how attention and sensation move through the body, inviting people to rediscover their own centre, their own sense of groundedness and balance. She is drawn to the unfamiliar, novel ways the body can learn to move again. This kind of gentle exploration creates curiosity and openness, held in a space that promotes safety to combat guarded protective patterns.

Above all, Medhavi brings warmth, presence, and an unhurried kind of attention to every person she works with irrespective of if she’s guiding a child's first confident steps or walking alongside an adult with prolonged pain.

If you're looking for someone who meets the whole person, not just the place where the pain lives, Medhavi would love to walk that path with you.
