Stav Zographos (she/her)

Physiotherapist

I'm a physiotherapist with a Master of Physiotherapy from Swinburne University and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Monash University. I'm also an APPI Certified Clinical Pilates instructor, and I've worked in private practice with people from a wide range of backgrounds, activity levels and sporting interests.

I'm passionate about understanding how the human body moves, with particular interests in biomechanics, strength and conditioning, and the relationship between movement, pain and physical performance. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity and seeing the person as a whole. I enjoy getting to know each person's story, understanding what matters to them, and working together to help them build confidence in their bodies and get back to the activities that bring meaning to their lives. I'm keen to keep developing my understanding of persistent pain and the many factors that shape a person's experience of pain and their ability to take part in the activities they value.

Alongside my physiotherapy work, I'm heavily involved in the climbing community as a Private Climbing Coach, Youth Program Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach at Urban Climb. Since discovering climbing in 2020, I've developed a particular passion for climbing performance, injury prevention and helping climbers stay active and keep progressing in the sport. I love running injury prevention workshops and coaching professional development sessions, where I get to share my interest in movement, training and performance with the wider climbing community.

Outside the clinic, I love climbing outdoors and have competed at state level in bouldering and lead climbing. I also have a varied sporting background. I rowed throughout school and at club level, and coached rowing for three years at Ruyton Girls' School and Melbourne Girls' Grammar. I also hold a 2nd Dan black belt in Taekwondo and Grade 6 RAD ballet.

My current side quests are mountain trail running and calisthenics. When I've had enough of physical pursuits, you'll usually find me experimenting in the kitchen, playing with my husky or oil painting.
